With Elizabeth and Eric living out of town, we photographed their engagement just a couple of weeks before their wedding so we had the pleasure of hanging out with them two times in a short period. Every part of the wedding took place in the small shore town of Seaside Park. The Yacht club that the reception was held at was merely blocks from the house that Elizabeth grew up in. We even learned on their engagement shoot that Eric had proposed right down the street from this same house on a dock that he and Elizabeth enjoyed spending time on.
That same dock looked so beautiful in the morning when Kim and I arrived on the wedding day. Everybody was very relaxed and just hanging out while getting ready. I left Kim with the girls and headed over to the house where Eric was getting ready. As soon as I arrived Eric, his family and friends were all so welcoming. Shore weddings tend to be a laid back day and this wedding did not disappoint.
The rain that was threatening all day held off for the most part and we only had to deal with a little misting while we worked with the bridal party and the couple at a small park on the island. Elizabeth and Eric weren’t phased a bit by the minor rain and just continued smiling and having fun. The Seaside Park Yacht Club had that perfect “shore town” charm. The Yacht Club doesn’t really have many weddings due to it being a private club on the island. Since Elizabeth’s father was a member at the club they were able to have the reception there and it was a great party with PJ from Unforgettable DJs keeping everyone dancing. Congratulations Elizabeth and Eric! We wish you both the best and thanks for having us on your day.
