Talamore Country Club Wedding

What a blast this couple was! We snuck in Michelle and Joe’s first look just before the rain started and Michelle was a trooper holding her dress off the wet ground to get outside for some photos. The rain then stopped just long enough for their ceremony and then the skies let loose with insane rains. It didn’t matter by then, everyone was inside and ready to party. Michelle and Joe were such a fun couple and we really enjoyed hanging out with them all day. Congratulations to you both and a big thanks for having us be there to document the day.

I was surprisingly relaxed at the beginning of our wedding day! Everyone was shocked that I was calm, running on-time and just taking the day in for all it was to remember. – Michelle

It was so special to wake up at my mom’s house on our wedding day. Having my Mom there to spend a few quiet moments with in the morning was something I’ll never take for granted. I couldn’t imagine getting ready for such a memorable day without that time or without the time I had with my very best girlfriends. We were running so ahead of schedule, we had time to stop for donuts before our hair appointments, and even stopped at a local pizza place before the limo came to pick us up!

Seeing Joe at our first look had me more anxious than any part of the entire day. While I knew what he was wearing, my dress and accessories were a secret during the entire process. Along with the anticipation of experiencing his reaction to seeing me, it had just rained. So here I am, holding my dress up to my knees, walking in shoes I’d never worn, going to see the love of my life, hoping not to fall flat on my face down this wooden bridge. – Michelle

A little nervous during the first look. I was worried I wasn’t going to react the way she’d hoped I would. I’m not an overly emotional guy, so I was just trying to stay within that. – Joe

Having our first look as a private moment to share was absolutely perfect. While we love our friends and family, we like to keep the memorable moments to ourselves so we can show our true emotions candidly. We were so caught up in the moment, laughing and catching up on the little things that had happened throughout the day, we hadn’t even noticed a golfer that had parked her golf cart on the bridge waiting patiently for us to finish our time together. – Michelle

Definitely better to have the private moment. We’re both kind of goofy so this was our moment to get all the silly things we would normally say to each other out of the way. I didn’t even feel like there was anyone else nearby so we were both able to just let our reactions happen naturally. – Joe

Our venue had some very fun spots for photo opportunities – there were a few times while Joe and I were being photographed that I could tell Ray or Kim were working something up in their minds. The one instance that stood out the most, was probably this whole process in front of an indoor waterfall feature. Ray had Joe and I hold the same pose while he took a sequence of photos and had Kim running back and forth in front of the waterfall for different lighting effects. I can’t wait to see how that one turns out! – Michelle

One thing that stood out to me was Ray’s vision during our session in the bridal suite. I loved that he saw the layout of the room and was willing to re-arrange some things if necessary, then sit on the floor in the bathroom to get the shot he saw. The photos of us lounging on the sofa in the bridal suite were some of my favorite. – Joe

My walk down the aisle was mixed with so many emotions! After all the planning we had done, I was excited to see Joe awaiting my Mom and I as he stood at the alter – our day was finally here! I was so happy to see our friends and family there to brave the rain clouds with us, but throughout the entire walk down the aisle, I knew my Dad was with us all in spirit. If he wasn’t able to walk me down the aisle, I’m beyond grateful to have shared that moment with my Mom! – Michelle

During the first dance, I remember thinking “This song is so much longer than I remember, and everyone is staring at us” – Joe

During our first dance, there were a few things Joe and I kept saying, but the thing we said the most was “Who would have known Love Song was THIS long!?” Second only to, “We’re married!!!!” – Michelle

Our entire reception was great! Even though we didn’t get to make all of our rounds to see everyone and say hello, I feel like I saw just about everyone on the dance floor! As soon as I took a break after one song ended, someone new brought me right back out for a dance! – Michelle

One of the most fun parts (for me) was the last dance of the night – We did our bridal party dance then and it was great to just have everyone all come together. – Joe

During dinner, we headed outside for some twilight photos in front of a lighted fountain. We got a few sneak-peaks while we were out there and I’m so glad we took the time away to take advantage of the landscape. So worth it! – Michelle

We did do several night time photos. It had been raining all day so there were a lot of puddles all around. Ray approached us and asked if we wanted to go out to do some night time shots. Watching Ray’s dedication to his craft was awesome. He did whatever it took to get the shot for the vision he had in his head, including crawling in a puddle to get the reflection he wanted. Totally worth it – can’t wait to see the shots! – Joe

Ray and Kim were amazing to work with on our wedding day! Although it was a rainy day, they both made it easy to smile and forget that the weather may not have been cooperating. Kim had no problem climbing into the landscaping to get the right angle or to help reflect some sunlight, and Ray risked his camera and ran into the pouring rain (a few times) for us! To say we’re thankful is an understatement. Their energy, while different depending on who you were with, really helped set the mood for the photos we were posing for. Joe and I were so lucky to have had them both on our vendor team and can’t imagine having anyone else there to capture our engagement or wedding day story! – Michelle

Everything went by so fast. I’m thankful Ray & Kim were there to help us capture everything we experienced (and maybe even some things we didn’t) I’m glad we took a few minutes to step away from the chaos of the ballroom and have a moment to ourselves. It’s pretty amazing to think so many different people are all in the same room, at the same time, to celebrate you. Likely, that exact combination of people will never be together again – so its truly once in a lifetime. – Joe
