Gary is a man who knows how to make his wife Melissa smile! Time and time again when we asked them to look at each other they would both just have such a great smile you could really see how in love they are. Melissa and Gary had chosen great details throughout the day, we really enjoyed the awesome classic Rolls Royce, it really went with their style.

We had a blast photographing them along with their bridal party at the lovely Brigalias. Chris from Steve & Company kept the party rocking all night long. It was a great night and there was even a surprise performance by Melissa’s brother. Melissa & Gary we thank you both for having us be a part of your wedding day.

We really enjoyed this shoot! Justine and Andrew spent a lot of time scouting for the perfect location for their engagement photos. They wound up coming up with three locations to hit, and we love what they picked. Justine was worried that they would be taking up too much of our time, but we absolutely love it when our couples are into photography, and want to spend more time with us. They were so easy to talk to, and so comfortable in front of the camera, you’d think they were professional models. And we absolutely loved Justine’s red dress and the way it just pops off the all the green at Wissahickon Park. Thanks so much Justine and Andrew for picking such awesome spots, and introducing us to a new location, and for just being awesome. We can’t wait for your wedding next year.

So we are driving down to Wildwood, and it’s absolutely gorgeous out. The sun is shinning, there are just a few white puffy clouds in the sky and Ray announces how excited he is. “DON’T JINX IT!” I yell at him. A few minutes later as we’re getting into Sea Isle, Ray asks me “whoa.. is that smoke or fog?” I reply “smoke, gotta be smoke. I can SEE it moving.” Well, I was wrong. We get into Wildwood and you could barely see in front of you. We met up with Bridget, Jon, and their ADORABLE dog Briscoe, and by the time we walked to the water all of our hair was soaked. Jon and I were joking about how it felt like zombies were going to jump out at you any second. Oh well, it is what it is, and we all still had fun. Thanks so much Bridget and Jon for being so easy to hang out with, and for bringing along Briscoe who was so well behaved. We can’t wait for your wedding!

Hello all it’s Ray back for another blog Post. As some of you may know in my spare time I love to get outdoors and photograph nature. Kathleen & Glenn like to do the same and they are excellent nature photographers, and nature photography is how they met. I met Kathleen and Glenn through a few group outings for nature photography. It has been really nice to get to know them over the past few years. A few weeks ago on a Thursday (just like Kim and I), they had a small civil ceremony and became husband and wife. I was so happy to hear that these two wonderful people decided to spend the rest of their lives together and even happier when they asked if Kim and I would take some photos of them after they were married.

Kim and I met up with Kathleen and Glenn at Longwood Gardens. They are members there and try to visit as often as they can so they can photograph the beautiful flowers and landscapes. It was a perfect location for the but unfortunately some rain decided to show up that day. Thankfully there are many wonderful places for photography inside and it didn’t seem to bother the two of them at all. I’ve been out taking pictures with the two of them before and I’ve always known they have fun together but they really showed us how much in love they are during this shoot. Glenn sure knows how to keep a smile on Kathleen’s face and they just made the entire shoot so fun. Towards the end of the shoot they decided to say screw the rain and we took them outside for a few photos which turned out to be a great choice.

Kathleen and Glenn, it’s been really great getting to know you both and Kim and I are so happy that you have found each other. Thanks so much for asking us to photograph you during this time in your lives together and I look forward to many more trips to photograph the birds! Right off the bat from the very first set we put Lauren and Geoff in they were laughing hysterically. It’s obvious these two have fun together. It didn’t let up the whole shoot, which was awesome. It was a little warm for this time of year, which brought out some nasty bugs, so we definitely have to give them credit for hanging in there. We enjoyed spending time getting to know them, as they are genuinely great people. We are really looking forward to their wedding next month.

It’s always so great to get to see our favorite wedding couples again, well after their wedding. It was an honor and privilege to be invited into Shannon and Ed’s home again, this time to meet the newest member of their family, Adalyn. Shannon even commented that it seemed like only yesterday we were photographing her in her dress in front of the same window we were now using to light their beautiful daughter. Thanks again Shannon and Ed for having us, and we hope to see you again soon.

Melissa and Frank are such a laid back happy couple. Melissa really seemd to approach the day with a take it as it comes attitude and Frank couldn’t stop smiling all day. He even told us he thought he would need a break from smiling for the next month. From the moment they saw each other on the stairs at the beautiful Lucien’s Manor they had a smile on their faces. Everyone was so friendly and kind all day long they really made us feel right at home. We especially had fun listening to all the interesting conversations in the bridal suite while Melissa and her girls got ready. Everything was held at Lucien’s Manor and after the ceremony it was right into party mode. Thank you both so much for asking us to be a part of your day and really making us feel like we were. We wish you both the best.

As business owners, we hear time and time again about targeting your ideal client with your marketing and branding. Who are they? How old are they? What do they do? Where do they shop? What do they look like? Ray and I always just shrug. We don’t really care what they look like, how old they are, where they work, or where they shop. We just like nice people. We are very lucky, that nice people are exactly what we attract. Weddings don’t always go as planned. It’s something you hear get told to couple’s planning their weddings over and over, something will go wrong on your wedding day, it just WILL, so don’t get so wrapped up in everything being absolutely perfect. Just hope that it’s something small and insignificant that goes wrong. We are continually blown away at the way our clients always handle themselves on wedding day, and don’t fuss over mistakes that would make us cry if we were in their shoes. Meghan and Chip are no exception. In fact, we straight up admire them. When we were photographing Meghan getting ready in their absolutely beautiful home, I noticed a plaque against the window that read “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” I instantly remembered their engagement shoot, in the rain, where they continually laughed and goofed off, regardless of how cold and wet they got. I don’t know how to better describe Meghan and Chip then that. They were absolutely awesome all day, and so was their bridal party and family. They are just wonderful people to be around, and it was an honor to photograph the wedding of two people who are so incredibly well matched and in love.

Nicole and Brian spoiled us rotten on this wedding! Nicole’s parent’s house where she got ready was absolutely gorgeous. It was right on the water, and they had an entire wall of windows that made for some excellent light. Nicole and Brian planned their day so well, and gave us so much time for photos, we were in heaven. It wasn’t the warmest day, but they braved the cold for us for on the beach and on the dock at Clark’s Landing. It was our first time at Clark’s Landing Yacht Club, and we could not get over not only how gorgeous this place was, how delicious the food was, but how ridiculously nice the staff was to us. As always it was great to work with the guys from Unforgettable DJs. Nicole and Brian really impressed us with their very well choreographed and rehearsed first dance. Not to mention how incredibly laid back, easy going, and fun Nicole and Brian are to be around. Really, truly, sincerely, thank you so much Nicole and Brian! It was a pleasure and an honor to be a part of your day.

Every now and then we get asked if we do baby portraits. YES! Yes, we love shooting them, and we especially love when we get to photograph the babies of one of our previous wedding couples. We really enjoy getting to know all of our couples and forming a relationship with them, so it’s always so nice to see them again. It’s also especially great when we get such a cute and easy baby like Evan. Evan was about 8 weeks old at the time of this shoot, and absolutely adorable. Thank you Trish and Tim for coming back to us for these photographs, and congratulations on the new addition to your family. We had a great time with you, as always.
