Kicking off the 2018 wedding season with a wonderful couple.  Kimberly & Vivenli put together a beautiful wedding at Rat's Restaurant, a very unique and great looking venue. They also got incredibly lucky with the weather. It was single digit temps only a few days prior and on their day it was in the 60s and nobody was freezing outside which was great.  Congratulations to you both Kimberly & Vivenli and we wish you the best in your lives together.

I had been anxious about standing in front of so many people prior to the start of our wedding day. But because I was running late and getting ready was such a whirlwind, I luckily didn't have time stress about what was to come. - Kimberly

Getting ready in the artists' apartment at Rat's surrounded by my parents was a surprisingly relaxing experience. My parents had the television on in the background, and we chatted like usual. Our florist and coordinator had handled all of the setup, so no stressful final preparations for us! - Kimberly

I felt nervous at the start of the day. All I kept thinking about was getting through our vows and first dance, and then it's party on! - Vivenli

We were running behind on getting ready so all I could think about was that I needed to hurry up so Kimberly could finish getting ready so we could take some photos. - Vivenli

Vivenli and I had been hiding in different rooms all day, so it was exciting to finally be able to see her all dressed up. She looked amazing in her custom suit! - Kimberly
Seeing Kimberly for the first time was incredible. She looked so beautiful in her dress, and her hair and make up was amazing! - Vivenli

When we had our first look, it was very nice to have a private moment together. We got a chance to take each other in and capture that special moment. This also gave us a chance to breathe and say, "let's do this!" - Vivenli

It was great having a few private moments during our first look before family photos. It also gave us a chance to ease our nerves before the ceremony... we were in this together. - Kimberly

After watching the weather forecast for weeks and seeing snow, freezing temps and torrential downpours, we lucked out with 61 degrees and a break in the rain during photos (in the middle of January)! The unique weather also allowed us to set up some moody shots in the fog. - Kimberly
All I kept thinking about during the photo session was how lucky we were the weather was warm and that the rain held off. In addition, I was so grateful that our parents were a part of our day. - Vivenli

Before the ceremony, I was hoping our DJ would get the cues just right for our musical selection (she did!). And my parents and I were concerned about walking on the same foot. Attention to detail - always! - Kimberly

Before the ceremony, I wanted to make sure that my parents and I walked slow enough so we hit the right cue during the processional song. - Vivenli

Kimberly and I had a mini-routine that we practiced, and I remember thinking, "if we can just get through one round then we are in the clear!" - Vivenli
Vivenli and I had taken some refresher Salsa classes but weren't confident we were ready to solo. So we asked family and friends to join us for the first dance. Looking back, we rocked some pretty smooth moves so maybe we should have taken our moment :) - Kimberly

The most fun part of our reception was seeing our parents dance along with our families and friends. - Vivenli

We arranged two confetti cannons as a surprise during the last dance. Despite the initial startling boom, everyone loved watching the confetti flutter down around them - especially us! - Kimberly
